Events in and around The Grampians Region

As the seasons change, so do the events and activities in the Grampians Region of Victoria, Australia. From outdoor festivals to indoor exhibits and everything in between, there is something for everyone to enjoy. Here are just a few highlights of the seasonal fun and exciting events in and around the Grampians Region:

Spring:

The Grampians Grape Escape: This two-day festival in Halls Gap showcases the best of the region's food and wine, as well as live music, cooking demonstrations, and plenty of family-friendly activities.

Wildflower Show: Held in September at the Stawell Entertainment Centre, this exhibit features hundreds of native wildflowers, as well as educational presentations and guided walks.

The Great Victorian Bike Ride: Every November, cycling enthusiasts from around Australia and beyond gather for a week-long ride through some of Victoria's most scenic terrain.

Summer:

Grampians Jazz Festival: This three-day event in January brings together some of Australia's best jazz musicians for a weekend of outdoor concerts and indoor performances.

Port Fairy Folk Festival: Just a short drive from the Grampians, the Port Fairy Folk Festival is a must-see for music lovers, with dozens of stages featuring folk, blues, country, and more.

Horsham Agricultural Show: Held every October, this traditional country show includes livestock exhibits, showjumping competitions, and carnival rides.

Autumn:

Ararat Jailhouse Rock Festival: Celebrate the era of rock and roll at this annual festival in March, featuring live music, classic cars, and plenty of retro style.

Grampians Brushes: A celebration of art in all its forms, Grampians Brushes includes exhibitions, workshops, and lectures by artists from across the region and beyond.

Stawell Gift: One of Australia's most famous footraces, the Stawell Gift takes place over Easter weekend, with top athletes competing for a share of the prize money.

Winter:

WinterWild: This arts and culture festival in August is all about embracing the wild side of winter, with performances, installations, and workshops that explore the darker, colder side of the season.

Halls Gap Winter Festival: A community-focused event in July, the Halls Gap Winter Festival includes live music, food and drink stalls, local arts and crafts, and plenty of kids' activities.

Ballarat Winter Festival: Just a short drive from the Grampians, the Ballarat Winter Festival features ice-skating, snow play, and a winter wonderland walk, as well as live entertainment and food stalls.
